The U.S. House of Representatives passed a dangerous bill that would invalidate our best chance at climate action, with 247 (239 Republicans and 8 Democrats) voting for the bill and 180 (4 Republicans and 176 Democrats) voting against. The bill allows states to simply opt-out of the EPA's Clean Power Plan--America's first-ever national limits on carbon pollution from our existing power plants. With this vote, the House undermined one of the biggest steps we could take to boost clean energy.
