California needs your help—and right now you can make a difference. For months, dangerous pollution spewed into the air above Aliso Canyon, a natural gas storage facility on the outskirts of LA. It was the consequence of a massive natural gas leak that erupted at a storage well operated by SoCal Gas—and showed everyone just how harmful natural gas leaks can be.
The company announced earlier this month that the eruption of pollution had been permanently capped—but does that mean we're safe? No—there are tens of thousands of smaller leaks all across California that exist right now.
Take action today, and tell the California Public Utilities Commission to complete strong rules that will prevent future disasters like Aliso, and the thousands of mini-Aliso style leaks, from happening.
