On April 29, Pennsylvania became the 24th state to join the U.S. Climate Alliance, and Governor Wolf acknowledged climate change as the most critical environmental threat facing the world. He reiterated his ambitious goals for Pennsylvania to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 26% by 2025 and 80% by 2050 from 2005 levels.
To help achieve these greenhouse gas targets, Governor Wolf must directly regulate methane - a potent greenhouse gas - from the thousands of existing sources of oil & gas pollution and set a limit on carbon pollution from the energy sector. Pennsylvania is currently one of the only states in the region without carbon limits.
Please take a moment to thank Governor Wolf for this important step forward in addressing the urgent threat of climate change to our children and families and urge him to continue his leadership by directly addressing methane pollution, and setting a carbon limit for Pennsylvania.
Thank you for your leadership in addressing climate pollution
